2020 into 2021
Christmas-New Year

The City of Oxford Orchestra was founded in 1965 with a firm commitment to provide live, classical music of the highest quality to the widest possible audience.  The Orchestra has played to acclaim in most of the capital cities of Europe whilst also providing all-year-round concerts in Oxford's beautiful, historical buildings, in particular, Sir Christopher Wren's stunning Sheldonian Theatre.

Normally I would be welcoming you to our 2020 into 2021 season, which features our ever-popular trio of Christmas and New Year celebrations. However, as you are all aware, live performances at the moment are mostly prohibited. We look forward to next year when all should be back to normal,  but for this year, we are offering you a little reminder of what you are missing!

Our Christmas Concerto by Candlelight  has been described by our audience as one of the highlights of their musical year, and thanks to the hard work of leader Roland Roberts, we have prepared an online taster of this little jewel

To access it, please use the following YouTube link. If anyone feels like giving a small donation for the musicians, please contact me on the Ticket Hotline number, see above.

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you all.
