Jessica studied at the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester
where she won the Hilda Collens memorial prize. She won a Countess
of Munster scholarship to undertake a postgraduate course at the
Royal College of Music in London, where she then won an Exhibition
and the Joy Boughton and Hilda Anderson Deane oboe prizes.
In 1998 Jessica was appointed Principal Cor Anglais with the
Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra where she stayed for three years.
Since returning to the UK in 2001, Jessica has worked with many of
the country’s major orchestras and is a regular member of the City
of Oxford Orchestra, with whom she has performed Copland’s Quiet
City.
