Bassoon




Wendy studied at The Guildhall School of Music with Roger Birnstingl, then principal bassoon player of the London Symphony Orchestra.  As a student she was also greatly influenced by Cecil James and Enzo Muccetti.

She has played as a guest principal bassoonist with the London Philharmonic, The Royal Philharmonic, The Philharmonia and the BBC Symphony orchestras as well as regular dates with the professional regional orchestras.  For several years she was a member of the London Sinfonietta and was a founding member of the Köenig Ensemble. 

She has performed concertos on the South Bank in the Queen Elizabeth Hall and more recently at the Sheldonian Theatre Oxford where she is a member of the City of Oxford Orchestra.
